Who we are...
CERNSC is a local volunteer organization of cross-country skiers in the Chugiak - Eagle River community. We are a  501(c)(3) non-profit organization. While we cooperate with the Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage, we are a separate club with our own board, committees, and programs. Our membership year runs from October 1st to Sept 30th.

Promote and encourage Nordic skiing as a family recreational activity, a competitive sport, and healthful exercise.

What we do ...
Our club's main activity is providing a low-cost, family-oriented Junior Nordic program to introduce kids and families to skiing.  This volunteer-led program involves up to 200 children each year.  In cooperation with Eagle River Parks & Rec, we also help develop, maintain, and improve our local trail systems at Beach Lake, Mirror Lake Middle School, and Eagle River High School.  We organize occasional races.  We have received grants for projects including trail construction, equipment, lighting, and ski rentals. We welcome the independently-run Alaska Nordic Masters - Eagle River skiing program that provides lessons and training for adult skiers.
