Come tour with us in 2025-26 and enjoy the wonders of Eagle River Valley trails! Ros Singleton and Barb Johnson are back, leading ski tours around Chugiak/Eagle River. If you are interested in joining us, please e-mail Ros Singleton at rosalynsingleton2@gmail.com
Requirements: You must be a ski club member (for liability coverage). There will be some easier, slower and shorter options for those who are just learning about places to go. You may bring dogs if they are well-behaved, stay with you, and don’t fight with other dogs. If you wish to go at a slower, more relaxed and shorter pace, you can ski with Barb Johnson. You should contact her at barbj15@gmail.com if you are learning where to go and would like someone to lead you on a shorter ski.
Here are proposed dates and times. The venues are dependent on conditions. We’ll finalize the venue the week before the event and send an e-mail to the group.
Sunday, December 7 @ 12:30 pm : Barb Johnson - meet at Peters Creek trailhead for a tour of the Peters Creek trail (alternate location - lakeside trails at Beach Lake if low snow)
Saturday, December 27 @ 10:00 am : Ros Singleton – tour of Eagle River Nature Center for a tour of the trails and river
Sunday, Feb 1 @ 12:30 pm : Barb Johnson - meet at Briggs bridge for tour on Eagle River or Homestead trail along Eagle River
Saturday, March 14 @ 10:00 am : Ros Singleton – meet at South Fork for tour to Symphony Lake
